Lindsay episode 4 recap: Dina, Jimmy and Oprah

By Nicole Yungblut  Lindsay Episode 4, which aired on March 30, 2014 on OWN, starts off with Oprah meeting with Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina Lohan. Dina believes that Lindsay is ready to turn her life around. Lindsay meets with her life coach, AJ Johnson, who starts cooking Lindsay healthy food as part of her new routine. Lindsay goes to S Factor to pole dancing class and also rehearses and appears on The Tonight Show With recap-episode-4-LindsayJimmy Fallon. Lindsay gets ready to appear on Jimmy Fallon.  Jimmy’s dressed as a woman.  Lindsay tells, “He’s been a big supporter, and I’m really lucky to have him in my life.”

Lindsay is nearing the end with her sobriety coach, but hires a second personal assistant, named Hollie Taylor in addition to her first PA Matt Harrell.

Hollie doesn’t last long because Matt fires Hollie for drinking a glass of wine in front of Lindsay.  Lindsay needs to be surrounded by positive influences but I think that Matt should’ve told Hollie what she could and couldn’t do prior to letting her fail at the job.  I guarantee that Hollie would not have compromised her position for a glass of wine had she known.  This made me wonder if Matt had ulterior motives for letting Hollie go so abruptly.  Maybe he feels his job is threatened and could be replaced. Lindsay’s sobriety coach, Michael Cormier, is nearing the end of his 30-day sobriety transition with Lindsay.  He says his role with Lindsay was only for the transition between the structured environments of Cliffside to the pressures of the real world.  He wants to step aside and let her use the tools that she’s learned.  I immediately thought, don’t go Michael, she isn’t ready to be losing her sobriety coach – she still needs one.

Michael thinks volunteering with “esteem-able” acts is good because it takes the attention off of you and onto other people. Lindsay goes to community service to volunteer with children, and makes a bond with one of the kids at the school named Donovan.  Lindsay tears up as she leaves.

The end of Episode 4 shows her life coach saying, “Your mom told me you’ve been drinking,” and Lindsay saying, “I screwed up.”  AJ Johnson says, “I’m so frustrated” and then she says,” Sometimes it’s better to walk away before things get ugly.”

OH NO! What is Lindsay going to do with her sobriety coach, life coach and possibly personal assistant quitting?  Who is going to keep rooting for her?  I can’t wait to watch next week!

Oprah also meets with Lindsay’s grandma, who says that her granddaughter has a “beautiful heart and beautiful face” and that “she should’ve gotten an Oscar for Parent Trap!”

Lindsay says that she needs to focus on getting a schedule for filming the documentary. Lindsay just wants to be back on set.  It feeds her soul.  It’s the energy in her life.  It’s hard for me to believe that Lindsay has a hard time getting agents to work with her, because I grew up with her being a talented actress.
