Serie del Caribe: Caribbean World Series 2014 TV schedule: ESPN Deportes has exclusive TV coverage of the Caribbean World Series from Margarita Island, Venezuela, Feb. 1-8. All 13 scheduled games will air live on ESPN Deportes, including five doubleheaders, the semifinal games Feb. 6-7 and the championship game Feb. 8. Former MLB player and manager Ozzie Guillen joins the ESPN Deportes broadcast team as an analyst throughout the series.

ESPN Deportes Exclusively Presents 2014 Caribbean World Series

Ozzie Guillen joins team for live and on-site multiplatform coverage from Margarita Island, Venezuela; Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez joins as guest analyst for ESPN Deportes Radio

ESPN Deportes will offer exclusive coverage of the Caribbean World Series 2014 LIVE from Margarita Island, Venezuela. Coverage kicks off with a double-header on February 1, with Puerto Rico vs. Dominican Republic and Mexico vs. Cuba. After 53 years, Cuba – represented by Villa Clara, champion of Cuba’s National Series – returns to the Series and joins “La Fiesta del Caribe.”

Former MLB player and manager Ozzie Guillen will add to the excitement during extensive analysis across television, ESPN Deportes Radio and ESPNDeportes.com. Host Carolina Guillen and analyst Enrique Rojas will join Ozzie Guillen for the news and information coverage. The game announcers include Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Alvarez, Ozzie Guillen, and Guillermo Celis and Jorge Eduardo Sanchez. Eitan Benezra and Carolina Padron will report from the field. In addition, Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez joins the ESPN Deportes Radio broadcast team as guest analyst.

Marking the LVI edition of the Series, this year’s games will be held at Estadio Nueva Esparta in Porlamar, Margarita Island. Of the 13 scheduled games, five will be double-headers where the teams will face off at 3 p.m. ET and no earlier than 7:30 p.m. ET.

  • Live telecast of all games (schedule listed below);
  • Complete coverage of Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony;
  • ESPN Deportes baseball experts will be covering on-site from Margarita Island, Venezuela throughout the seven-day event:
  • Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Alvarez, Jorge Eduardo Sanchez, Ozzie Guillen and Guillermo Celis are slated to call the games;
  • Carolina Padrón and Eitan Benezra will report from the field;
  • Béisbol Esta Noche will originate from Margarita with a 30-minute pre-game show and between games on doubleheader fays (Feb. 1-5); additional news and information coverage will be presented daily across SportsCenter, Los Capitales, #Redes and Nación ESPN;
  • Live segments of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame, Class of 2014, ceremony to air during the Final on February 8; and
  • Regional Venezuelan music takes center stage with “La Fiesta del Caribe,” the networks theme song for the Series. The song was written and produced by The Mermelada Bunch, a native Maracaibo band.

ESPN Deportes Radio

  • The Series will be broadcast live on ESPN Deportes Radio (all games except those on Sunday Feb. 2);
  • El Duque to serve as guest analyst alongside the play-by-play and analysis of José Francisco Rivera, Renato Bermudez and Cristian Moreno;
  • Hour-long pre- and post-game sessions for every game by Carolina Guillén, Rojas, Rivera, Bermudez and Moreno;
  • Podcasts to include analysis of each game.
