On Demand DVD New Releases Jan. 27-Feb. 3 New this week: Channel Guide movie critic Paul Hall weighs in with his thoughts on some of this week’s top releases!

Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 2 In this tasty animated sequel, inventor Flint Lockwood must again save civilization from culinary-inspired disaster, this time in the form of “foodimals” — half-food, half-animals. Voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Neil Patrick Harris (PG, 1:35) 1/28 Paul says: Fun and funny — if you liked the first film, this is more of the same.

Enough Said  Eva’s (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) romance with Albert (James Gandolfini, in one of his last roles) is complicated when she befriends one of her massage clients, only to find out it is Albert’s ex-wife. Also stars Catherine Keener (PG-13, 1:33) 1/28

Bad Grandpa This blend of scripted storyline and unscripted stunts is a gleefully vulgar tale about an 86-year-old curmudgeon who takes his 8-year-old grandson on a long road trip to meet his real father. Johnny Knoxville, Jackson Nicoll, Greg Harris (R, 1:32 or TV-MA, 1:43) 1/28

Last Vegas Four old buddies head to Las Vegas to throw a bachelor party for the only one of them who has remained single, and the trip ends up being a wild time, and an opportunity to heal old wounds.  Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman (PG-13, 1:45) 1/28 Paul says: “It’s great to see these actors get a chance to let their hair down, and it really looks like they had fun doing it!”

Rush Director Ron Howard brings the speed of Formula One racing, both on and off the track, to life in this film. The focus is on two drivers, James Hunt (Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Brühl), as they rise through the ranks in different manners but are driven to become the best in the business.  Also stars Olivia Wilde (R, 2:03) 1/28 Paul says: Intense, bold and truly a spectacle on any size screen, Rush is bound to give you a “rush” all the way to the finish line. Grade: A

The Fifth Estate The story of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who create a platform that allows whistleblowers to anonymously leak covert data, shining a light on the dark recesses of government secrets and corporate crimes. When Assange and Berg gain access to the biggest trove of confidential intelligence documents in U.S. history, they battle each other and a defining question of our time: what are the costs of keeping secrets in a free society-and what are the costs of exposing them? Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Brühl (R, 2:08) 1/28

Grand Piano Moments before his comeback performance, a concert pianist who suffers from stage fright discovers a note written on his music sheet. Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Allen Leech (R, 1:30) 1/30 Pre-theatrical release
