Sing a song of Archer — a whole CD of them in fact.
Today at the Television Critics Association press tour, FX announced it will release a 12-track Archer CD entitled “Cherlene” — in homage to the new, country-music warbling alter ego of Judy Greer’s Cheryl Tunt — on all digital platforms Monday, Feb. 17.
Cheryl’s previously released “Danger Zone” duet with pop icon Kenny Loggins will highlight the collection, which also features three new, unreleased songs original to Archer including It’s All About Me, I’ll Burn it Down and Gypsy Woman.
According to a press release announcing the musical accompaniment to the award-winning half-hour animated series, other tunes include Chattahoochie Coochie Man, Midnight Blues, Straight to Hell, 40 Miles of Mountain Road, Swing Shift (formerly titled Coming Round Again), Cherlene’s Broken Hearts & Auto Parts (formerly titled Broken Hearts & Auto Parts), East Bound & Down, Baby Please Don’t Go, and Danger Zone.
Kevn Kinney, lead singer and guitarist for Drivn N Cryin, will produce the CD. Jessy Lynn Martens stands in for Greer on Cherlene’s vocals.
A “world premiere video” for the Archer-fied “Danger Zone” will air during Archer’s sixth episode on Feb. 17.
The Archer album will be available on Apple iTunes, Amazon Digital Services Inc., eMusic, Google Music, MediaNet, Nokia, Rhapsody, SoundCloud, Spotify, Touchtunes, YouTube and other digital platforms.
