TCA: REVOLT looks to be “CNN of music”

What’s new, what channel is REVOLT on … When Sean Combs launched his music network REVOLT in October of 2013 he set out to create a channel created entirely from What channel is REVOLT onthe ground up helping new artists reach the masses. At the Television Critics Association 2014 Winter Press Tour, REVOLT president Andy Schuon told critics they are ready to be the “CNN of music” and announced the rollout of a new live news show.

REVOLT Live will serve as a multi-platform live news show that will air at 5pmET and 8pmET beginning Jan 27. The series will focus on breaking news, music releases and dialogue on the trending topics of the day, as well as, feature special guests, artists and live performances.

The network is aiming to build a global conversation – with their corresponding website and soon-to-launch app – where music fans can interact with the trending headlines in the music world as it’s happening in this live format. The one-hour show will be hosted by Sibley and DJ Damage.

“The most exciting part is we make our own product every day, it’s fresh and different every day,” tells Schuon. He describes REVOLT Live as being akin to the Today Show and Tonight Show with a unique energy of information at the core.

The news show is a refreshing intelligent beat on the music industry that definitely fills a void for passionate music fans. The biggest challenge is finding what channel REVOLT is actually on as Comcast and Time Warner Cable’s carriage is somewhat scattered. The quickest way to check your lineup is entering  your zip code, select your cable/satellite operator and searching for RVLT (REVOLT).
