About: The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards is the latest ceremony held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to recognize excellence in entertainment. For the Golden Globes 2014, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey (pictured) are back as hosts, following up on their hilarious and very well-received stint last year (Poehler is also a nominee this year).

Prior to its live coverage of Golden Globes 2014, NBC will air an hourlong special on Friday, Jan. 10, at 8pm ET called Going for Gold. Matt Lauer hosts the program, which features interviews from stars and Golden Globes 2014 nominees, including Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt and the cast of 12 Years a Slave, Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Idris Elba, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac and more.

Live coverage of Golden Globes 2014 airs Jan. 12 at 8pm ET on NBC.

The Going for Gold special airs Jan. 10 at 8pm on NBC.

  1. So happy with the nominations this year and for 12 Years A Slave. Great movie. I do think that The Butler was snubbed though. I personally thought it was a great film and Oprah’s performance was outstanding.
