The Little Couple wins the 2013 Viewers Voice Award for the “Best Family Values” in Channel Guide’s annual reader poll. The Little Couple were big winners thanks to nearly five years of consistently warm, intelligent and highly relatable subject matter that has taken Dr. Jennifer Arnold and her husband Bill Klein from being ambitious newlyweds to delighted new parents with this season’s arrival of adorable 3-year-old son Will, adopted from China, and the impending arrival of baby daughter Zoey from India. “We feel so fortunate to have such awesome fans!” The Little Couple’s Arnold told Channel Guide. “When we started this show, Bill and I wanted to raise awareness for people of short stature and what it is like to be a little person and to get rid of some of the negative thoughts and biases out there. We never expected that the more personal things in our family would also bring awareness to fertility and adoption and all of these things that we’ve been going through. It’s been a great journey and we’ve loved doing it. And I’m one of those people who believe that everything happens for a reason, so I think the journey that we went through as parents was the journey that was meant for us — and it led us directly to Will and to Zoey. Because I’m convinced that Will was meant to be ours from the moment he was born — it just took us a while to get to him. And with Zoey, I’m sure we will feel the same way.”
