The Bible wins Best TV Movie or Miniseries in Channel Guide’s 2013 Viewers Voice Award! Viewers (millions upon millions of them) tuned in to The Bible miniseries on History, and saw that it was good. Producer Mark Burnett’s respectful take on various tales from Scripture enraptured audiences and created buzz surrounding everything from how much the actor playing Satan resembled President Obama to how much violence was appropriate to portray. The big-time performance earned the next installment — there are more than enough Bible stories to go around — a promotion to NBC.
