Presidents Cup 2013 dates, times and TV channels: NBC Sports Group will provide a total of more than 70 live hours of coverage of The Presidents Cup from Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.

The biennial Presidents Cup has the best golfers in the world from non-European countries taking on the best players from the United States in match-play competition. First held in 1994, the U.S. is 7-1-1 against the International Team overall. In 2011 in Australia, the U.S. won 19-15. The International Team’s lone victory was in Australia in 1998. The 2003 tournament in South Africa ended in a tie.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2013) – NBC Sports Group will provide a total of more than 70 live hours of coverage of The Presidents Cup from Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, from Monday, Sept. 30 through Sunday, Oct. 6 on both NBC and Golf Channel.  In addition to 27 hours of live, match-play action on both Golf Channel (11 hours) and GOLF CHANNEL ON NBC (16 hours), Golf Channel also will provide more than 40 hours of news coverage during the week, headlined by its signature LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP show.  Reporting from Muirfield Village throughout the week, LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP will feature player news conferences, interviews, highlights and analysis by the some of the best experts covering the game today.  The Presidents Cup also will be a hot topic of discussion on MORNING DRIVE all week, as well as the subject of conversation on GREY GOOSE 19th HOLE and THE GOLF FIX.

LIVE STREAMING:  Live Presidents Cup coverage on GOLF CHANNEL ON NBC will be streamed on NBCSports.com  and via the NBC Sports Live Extra app.  Fans who are customers of participating cable, satellite, telco and other video subscription services, will be able to enjoy 24/7 streaming of live Golf Channel content through GolfChannel.com and Golf Channel’s mobile application, Golf Live Extra.

TOURNAMENT COVERAGE:  Live coverage of The Presidents Cup matches will begin at Noon ET on Thursday, Oct. 3 on Golf Channel.  Golf Channel will air a total of 11 hours of live coverage of the first two days of match play – six hours of Four-ball action on Thursday (Noon-6 p.m. ET) and five hours of Foursome matches on Friday (1-6 p.m. ET).  GOLF CHANNEL ON NBC takes over on the weekend with 10 hours of live coverage on Saturday (8 a.m.-6p.m. ET) and finishing with six hours of singles matches on Sunday (Noon-6 p.m. ET). Golf Channel also will replay all live coverage in primetime Thursday through Sunday.  Golf Channel and NBC broadcasters will comprise two teams.  Golf Channel coverage on Thursday and Friday will be hosted by Terry Gannon and analyst Frank Nobilo, who was an assistant captain for the International Team under Greg Norman in 2009 and 2011.  Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller will lead GOLF CHANNEL ON NBC’s coverage for Saturday morning Four-ball matches and afternoon Foursomes matches, as well as all 12 Singles matches on Sunday.  The balance of the team for both networks will include Notah Begay, Curt Byrum, Peter Jacobsen, Gary Koch, Roger Maltbie, Jimmy Roberts, Mark Rolfing, Tim Rosaforte and Steve Sands.  The Presidents Cup match-play coverage will be produced by 29-time, Emmy Award-winner Tommy Roy.

LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP:  Presidents Cup Week on Golf Channel is programmed to keep fans connected to the competition all week with LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP, television’s leading source of news during golf’s biggest events.  LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP will begin in primetime on Monday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. ET and will continue twice each day through the Closing Ceremony on Sunday.  The show will originate from a dedicated Golf Channel stage, located between the 9th green and 10th tee, with Muirfield Village’s renovated clubhouse serving as a backdrop.  The broadcast team for news during the week includes:  Notah Begay, Steve Burkowski, Brandel Chamblee, John Feinstein, Rich Lerner, Todd Lewis, Frank Nobilo, Tim Rosaforte, Steve Sands and Kelly Tilghman.  John Cook, a regular on MORNING DRIVE and a former Presidents Cup assistant captain, also will join the LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP broadcast team.  Cook, an 11-time winner on the PGA TOUR and currently competing on the Champions Tour, is an Ohio native and a member of the 1979 NCAA Champion Ohio State Buckeyes golf team.

LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP FEATURES:   Notable interviews and features airing on LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP during the week include:
·         Fred Couples – Tim Rosaforte finds out why Couples feels comfortable as Presidents Cup captain and why he has been so successful.
·         Jack Nicklaus – as tournament host, Nicklaus talks with Gary Williams about the design of Muirfied Village and why the course sets up so well for so many great team events.

MORNING DRIVE:   MORNING DRIVE will begin each day of Presidents Cup Week at 7 a.m. ET with the latest news from Muirfield Village delivered by the team of Gary Williams, Damon Hack, Holly Sonders, Charlie Rymer, Matt Ginella, Lauren Thompson and John Cook, reporting from Ohio.  Chris DiMarco, whose dramatic, 15-foot birdie putt clinched a Presidents Cup victory for the USA in 2005, will join the team Tuesday through Friday to share his unique insight.

THEMED PROGRAMMING:  Originating from Muirfield Village on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. ET, Steve Sands will host lively discussion and debate among a GREY GOOSE 19th HOLE panel of experts, which will include former USGA executive director David Fay and Golf World Editor Jaime Diaz.  And THE GOLF FIX with Michael Breed will originate from Muirfield Village Golf Club’s driving range on Monday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. ET, focusing on the shot-making strategies needed for success during match play.  Breed also will be joined by kids from The First Tee of Columbus, Ohio.

DIGITAL COVERAGE:  GolfChannel.com’s staff of writers – including Rex Hoggard, Randall Mell and Jason Sobel – will be on site at Muirfield Village all week, providing up-to-the-minute news, features and match-by-match recaps.  The team also will hand out player grades via report cards on Monday following the competition.
