Telemundo Hispanic Heritage Month special looks at Hispanic NFL players

A one-hour Telemundo special premiering Sept. 28, called Futbol Americano, Celebrando el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, will look at the life and times of some of the most prominent Hispanic NFL players. Airing as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the program also takes a glimpse inside the NFL’s command center, and features an appearance from La Voz Kids winner Paola Guanche, who sang the national anthem before the Bears/Steelers game this past Sunday night.

Included during Futbol Americano, Celebrando el Mes de la Herencia Hispana is an interview with Manny Ramirez and Louis Vasquez, the Hispanic duo that plays for the Denver Broncos and is in charge of protecting quarterback Peyton Manning. Vasquez and Ramirez were friends in college at Texas Tech and reunited to play professionally in the NFL.

The special will also take an all-access look at the Arizona Cardinals, with the team showcasing the tools needed to succeed in the NFL, as well as the league’s command center, where some of the most important decisions happen behind the scenes.

Paola Guanche (pictured above, singing the national anthem Sunday) joins the celebration in the special, which is hosted by Leti Coo and Karim Mendiburu.

Futbol Americano, Celebrando el Mes de la Herencia Hispana premieres Sept. 28 at 4pm ET on Telemundo.
