Monday Night Football schedule 2013: ESPN’s coverage of Monday Night Football kicks off with a doubleheader on Monday, Sept. 9, with Philadelphia at Washington and Houston at San Diego. Full ESPN Monday Night Football schedule and highlights below.

Monday Night Football kicks off its regular season on Monday, Sept. 9 (7:10pm ET kickoff), with a doubleheader featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and new head coach Chip Kelly visiting FedExField to take on the Washington Redskins and quarterback Robert Griffin III. The second game has the Houston Texans visiting San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium to take on the Chargers.

Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati hosts a Week 2 Monday Night Football matchup of AFC North foes on Sept. 16 (8:40pm ET kickoff) as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Bengals. The Steelers (8-8) missed the playoffs last season, which doesn’t sit well with the team’s proud and rabid fans. The Bengals (10-6) won a wild-card berth but lost to the Houston Texans in the playoffs’ first round.

Quarterback Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos host the Week 3 Monday Night Football matchup Sept. 23 against the AFC West rival Oakland Raiders at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Broncos had little trouble sweeping both games against the Raiders last season, winning by a combined score of 63-19.

On Sept. 30, the New Orleans Saints host the Miami Dolphins at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for a Week 4 Monday Night Football matchup. Both teams finished 7-9 and out of the playoffs last year, but the Dolphins have high hopes for quarterback Ryan Tannehill in his second season and the Saints expect to be in the playoff picture with head coach Sean Payton reinstated after being suspended for all of 2012.
