Finally you can watch Showtime anytime and everywhere live! That means when you are on vacation, at a friend’s house or even in your backyard and you really want to watch Ray Donovan or Dexter the same day and time that it airs — you can … well, at least some of you can.
Showtime Networks announced the addition of live East and West Coast feeds of Showtime to their SHOWTIME ANYTIME, the network’s TV Everywhere service. This makes Showtime the first time premium network to offer live TV viewing on an authentication service. Subscribers of Showtime can now watch the network’s series, movies, specials, documentaries and sports programming live as it happens on their computer, iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire and Android phone and tablets at home or on the go, anywhere in the U.S.
Currently Showtime’s Everywhere service is limited to the following cable and satellite operators – Comcast, AT&T U-verse, DIRECTV, CableVision’s Optimum TV and Verizon, so if you aren’t a subscriber to one of these services you won’t be able to access this service right now. Showtime did indicate that they would be announcing additional providers later this year.
To watch Showtime live you need to go to www.showtimeanytime.com or download the SHOWTIME ANYTIME app from the iTunes App store for iOS users or the Amazon app store or Google Play store for Android users. Once you select your cable/satellite provider you’ll need to log in with your TV provider’s authentication credentials (this is your normal Comcast or DIRECTV log in information). You can watch Showtime live by clicking on the “Live TV” button found in the top menu to the far right. As always, you also have access to the complete library of Showtime content to watch current and past episodes of your favorite series and movies.
