Lindsay Lohan: Oprah scores first post-rehab interview, 2014 reality show

Score another one for Oprah Winfrey. Having landed the first post-scandal chats with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, freewheeling pop starlet Rihanna and the family of doomed songbird Whitney Houston, the talk-show icon will interview Lindsay Lohan in August following the completion of Lohan’s court-ordered, 90-day stay at the Betty Ford Center, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Winfrey’s OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has also signed Lohan to star in an eight-part docuseries chronicling her life post-rehab and her efforts to reclaim her career. The show is scheduled to air sometime in 2014.

Lindsay has shunned previous reality offers, including taking part in her family’s 2008 E! series Living Lohan, which focused instead on her mother, Dina, and her younger siblings. Most recently, she garnered mixed reviews for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s Liz & Dick biopic, appeared briefly in HBO’s Love, Marilyn documentary and starred in Bret Easton Ellis’ and Paul Shrader’s upcoming erotic thriller The Canyons, which will premiere July 29 at New York’s Lincoln Center, and begin rolling out to theaters and airing on video on demand Aug. 2.
