Beyonce to headine The Sound of Change Live concert event, airing in the U.S. on NBC

NBC will be the U.S. broadcaster of The Sound of Change Live concert, an event being held at Twickenham Stadium in London, on June 1. NBC will be airing highlights from the concert in the United States under the title The Women’s Concert For Change: Live From London, in primetime on Sunday, June 2, from 9-11pm ET/PT, a day after the live concert is held.

The concert is the centerpiece of Chime For Change, a new campaign to raise funds and awareness for female empowerment around the world, distributed to non-profit organizations focused in key areas of education, health care and justice. Superstar Beyoncé, co-founder and artistic director of Chime For Change, will headline the concert, performing a 45-minute special set.

“I am really happy that so many amazing artists and presenters have come together to support Chime For Change,” said Beyoncé. “Our goal is to have a great time together while we unite and strengthen the voices of girls and women around the world.”

Additional performers at The Sound of Change Live include Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, HAIM, Iggy Azalea, Laura Pausini, Rita Ora, Timbaland, and others.

Presenters will include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Blake Lively, Jessica Chastain, Gloria Steinem, Jada Pinkett Smith, James Franco, Madonna, Zoe Saldana and more.

The Sound of Change Live concert will be broadcast to up to one billion people in over 150 countries on six continents, including NBC’s broadcast in the United States.

The Women’s Concert For Change: Live From London (highlights from The Sound of Change Live Concert) airs in the United States June 2 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC.
