Fringe on Science Channel, relive sci-fi series on Fridays

So what’s with Fringe on Science Channel? OK, don’t get overly excited, we’re not talking new episodes here. The critically-acclaimed series truly ended last Friday night after five seasons on FOX. Fringe fans can now turn to Science Channel on Friday nights from 8-11PM (ET/PT), beginning January 25, to enjoy back-to-back episodes of the series.

Fringe continues to air on Science Channel
In addition to airing past episodes, Science Channel will continue to enhance Fringe with leading experts, such as Dr. Michio Kaku, examining phenomena such as time travel, dream sharing and parallel universes with the short-form series, Science of FRINGE. Friday night airings of Fringe on Science Channel will begin with special appearances by series star John Noble, who sets the stage for the back-to-back-to-back episodes.

The series explores the ever-blurring line between scientific concepts and reality, where hybrid beings tear through sewers, thieves walk through walls and portals open to parallel universes. Unable to police a world in which science has advanced beyond our wildest dreams-and nightmares-Olivia Dunham (series star Anna Torv) seeks help from Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his jack-of-all-trades son, Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson). Under the direction of Special Agent Phillip Broyles (Lance Reddick) and assisted by Agents Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole), Charlie Francis (Kirk Acevedo) and Lincoln Lee (Seth Gabel), the Fringe Team investigates unusual incidents that defy human logic and unimaginable events that threaten our very existence on a universal scale.

This Friday night (Jan. 25) on Science Channel, season two of FRINGE concludes from 8-10PM (ET/PT) and season three begins from 10-11PM (ET/PT).

  1. Is Sci Channel performing an experiment on its viewers; Seeing what reactions they can observe?! They hyped-up the audience w/ phrases like Fringe is being re-born on the Sci Channel. Their timing planned for the series finale! I was not able to watch it during its current seasons but was thrilled to be able to catch it on Sci. Then all of a sudden nothing!! So, just in case someone from Sci Channel actually cares about their viewers, they can live up to what they claimed and PUT FRINGE BACK ON THEIR SCHEDULE! That is presuming someone is actually reading this!

    • Fringe returns this weekend with back to back all day marathon episodes – FINALLY!! They are picking up where they left us hanging with a few repeat episodes before the finale they should have gave us months ago!

  2. What a disappointment. I won’t dare watch another minute of the scifi channel until fringe continues where it left off In Season 3. You got something right and the blew it!

  3. I echo the others’ comments. I became an instant Fringe fan when Science started airing it, and suddenly it just stopped! What junior exec decided that boring is better? I really thought that the Science Channel was slightly above average in bringing intelligent TV, but pandering to the lowest common denominator seems to be what we’re going to get from them too. Sad.
    BRING BACK FRINGE!!!!!!!!

  4. I have been watching Fringe, Season One, Episode 1, since it aired on Fox. I have started watching the re-runs since the Science channel picked up Fringe. The show is awesome and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all the seasons again. It is really irritating but not surprising. The show they put in place of Fringe was a snooze fest. Onto the next if Fringe doesn’t air.

  5. It seems to just have stopped mid-way through Season 3. Anyone know why? We are buying them on iTunes in the meantime….Nothing seems to be on deck on our TiVo or cable DVR either for the next two weeks.

  6. I agree, I’ve been watching on the Science Channel faithfully & am so sorry I missed it on FOX but was ecstatic I found it on Science Channel until this weekend–GONE, with no upcoming episodes listed on the SC website or on my TiVo box. What the hell is going on?? Please, Channel Guide, find out what has happened!!!

  7. This really annoys me that they seem to have taken it off the air. I just found the fringe program by Tunning into the Sci. Channel by accident and found after watching my first episode I really liked it. Now they seem the other idiotic programing they put on is better then Fringe. REALLY! do that many people find life so boring to turn on another reality show to make their own life feel more enduring and how about the sponsers? How can they allow an obvious growing cult for the fringe series. Reality shows come and go.

  8. I’ve been watching Fringe on the Science channel since it’s debut. Now it seems to have disappeared. Is it going to return to Science channel with the rest of the episodes?
