Lance Armstrong on Oprah’s Next Chapter Thursday

Lance Armstrong on Oprah’s Next Chapter Thursday, Jan. 17, with an exclusive interview on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network about the cyclist’s alleged doping scandal that stripped him of his Tour de France titles.

For years, cyclist Lance Armstrong vehemently denied allegations of cheating and the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Now, Armstrong appears ready to confess to Oprah Winfrey his involvement in the scandal that stripped him of his Tour de France titles on a special two-part edition of Oprah’s Next Chapter called Oprah and Lance Armstrong: The Worldwide Exclusive, on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. The special will air on OWN Thursday, Jan. 17, at 9pm ET/PT, and conclude Friday, Jan. 18, at 9pm ET/PT. OWN will air Oprah’s entire 2 1/2 hour interview, which took place at a hotel in Austin, Texas, on Monday. In the interview, Armstrong reportedly admitted to doping.

The interview will be streamed live on Oprah.com both nights.

After the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency’s report accusing Armstrong of doping throughout his cycling career, he was banned from professionally competing in Olympic sports, lost millions of dollars in endorsements, and resigned as chairman of the Livestrong foundation for the fight against cancer.
