Tammie Brown didn’t get very far in Season 1 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She was also eliminated early in the All Stars edition. Despite these early exits, Tammie Brown remains one of the most memorable contestants in the show’s history.
Her seemingly non-sequitur outbursts made for entertaining viewing and apparently weren’t annoying to other contestants as they all seemed to really respect her. Tammie Brown was kind enough to respond to our 7 Questions and tell us a little bit about her Drag Race experience & what she’s up to next.
Channel Guide Magazine: How do you feel about your elimination? You seem to always be true to yourself, are you happy with your performance?
Tammie Brown: I am happy with my performance. I have been compared to the likes of Andy Kaufman. People are saying I should have my own TV series and that I’m a comedy genius.
CGM: Were you happy with your team? Were you glad you were paired with Nina Flowers?
Tammie Brown: I wouldn’t change it for the world. Nina is a drag legend and is eye popping. Her and I have a very strong, spiritual organic connection.
CGM: What are you doing next? Where can people see you? More as a musician or in drag?
Tammie Brown: More of a musical entertainer… in drag of course.
