Michigan at Notre Dame highlights weekend’s college football schedule

A rare night game in South Bend, Ind., has the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines (2-1) visiting the No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7:30pm ET on NBC. Notre Dame has only hosted eight prime-time games, with three of those being against Michigan (most recently in 1990). Irish head coach Brian Kelly will try to improve on last year’s 8-5 record and get the Irish to a major bowl game. Michigan head coach Brady Hoke took the Wolverines to an 11-2 record in his first season. That might be a tough act to follow for Hoke, but dynamic quarterback Denard Robinson has set expectations even higher.

Other Saturday highlights:
12pm ET — Maryland at No. 8 West Virginia (FX)
3:30pm ET — Missouri at No. 7 South Carolina (CBS)
7pm ET — No. 2 LSU at Auburn (ESPN)
7:45pm ET — Vanderbilt at No. 5 Georgia (ESPN2)
7:50pm ET — No. 15 Kansas State at No. 6 Oklahoma (FOX)
8pm ET — No. 10 Clemson at No. 4 Florida State (ABC)
10:30pm ET — No. 22 Arizona at No. 3 Oregon (ESPN)
