1. You’re at a magazine rack and can only pick three titles. Which ones do you choose?

Vanity Fair, Elle Decor and Modern Bride — I’m kind of obsessed with wedding magazines.

2. If your TV only carried three networks, which three would you have to have?

OK, well, USA — duh. AMC because I’m in love with Breaking Bad, and any channel that airs Friends reruns.

3. What’s been your strangest fan encounter to date?

My first one still remains my strangest one. My first job in high school was on One Life to Live. I lived in Memphis and flew back and forth to NYC on days I shot the show. The first time I rode the subway by myself, some woman shoved me and said, “How dare you steal Cristian away from Jessica!” As I ran out of the subway, I had two thoughts: 1) “Holy crap, there really are crazies out there that can’t tell the difference between an actor playing a role and a character on TV,” and 2) “Oh my goodness, I think this might mean I’m doing a really convincing job! Maybe I should stick with this acting thing!”

4. When’s the last time you were starstruck?

I got to meet Ralph Macchio at an event this year and almost peed my pants. I seriously lost it — I couldn’t speak. The Karate Kid [the original] was the only PG movie I was allowed to watch as a little girl because my parents thought it had a good message, so I’ve seen it about 300 times. That’s not an exaggeration. Never underestimate the power of a 5-year-old girl’s first crush.

5. What are three things you have to have in your fridge or pantry?

Nutella, mayonnaise … and beer.

6. What bores you?

Not working. I go bananas when I’m not working. I have a really strong work ethic and I love staying busy, so if I’m on hiatus from the TV show I’m always shooting a movie, or working on an album — I sing — or reading a play. Anything creative. I don’t like sitting still!

7. What movie can you watch again and again and never get tired of?

Well that’s easy. The Karate Kid, of course!
