  1. I don’t enjoy it when Peter Curruthers does the commentary on the skaters on TV. Many remarks are unnecessary. He talks too much in general, repeats himself, and most of all, too often states the obvious. Does he really have to tell us, “his score would have been higher without that fall.”
Just last night I heard him say, “a quad is four revolutions”–duh!! In my view, he doesn’t measure up to Weiss, Pelletier, Lipinski, Hamilton and everyone else. They are easier to listen to and
don’t treat us like dummies by remarking on the painfully obvious and over-explaining what went wrong. They also don’t mention their personal dislike of a certain spin every time a skater does that spin, like Peter does, and don’t overuse phrases like, “that being said….”

  2. I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up on this year’s figure skating competition which aired on USSports network (thanks Directv!) & which I DVRed to save until I could watch it. Unfortunately, I missed dvring the programs in December. Where can I find these on the internet to watch on my computer? Thanks!

  3. What a shame NBC barely covers figure skating. I do not have universal sports, nor can i afford to pay for it on cumpter. Nbc shame on you.

  4. NBC is killing my love for watching figure skating. I don’t get Universal or Ice Network without signing up and watching on my little computer screen. So, I don’t get to watch the pairs skate or much of the ladies free skating this year. NBC you are destroying a good thing. Why no coverage of the Cup of China on NBC??

  5. Just great! I don’t receive Universal Sports, and I don’t want to sit at a computer for hours watching this online. NBC is only airing limited portions of the Grand Prix series – right now they’re showing an hour and a half of the Skate America free dance – who cares? I’ll miss the ladies’ and the pairs’ programs because it’s only on Universal or Ice Network. What a shame that non-stop football is rammed down our throats on endless channels, but we can’t watch the full Grand Prix series on just one?
