Michael J. Fox part of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 8 finale on HBO

By Barb Oates

When it comes to Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm there’s a definite “love it” or “hate it” reaction to it. My husband cringes when he hears the theme song and exits the room quickly. Our art director scoffs at it, claiming he “just doesn’t get it.” But then there’s the rest of us who revert to traditional water cooler chatter about this season’s oh-so-familiar social faux pas from the simplest buffet line “chat and cut” to “upstreaming” when hailing a taxi to misinterpreting the meaning of a Japanese bow and so much more.

For eight seasons David has brilliantly exploited the awkwardness of our social interactions, so expect nothing less for the season eight finale, which airs Sunday, Sept. 11 at 10pm ET/PT on HBO. In the season finale, Episode 80: Larry Vs. Michael J. Fox,  Larry accuses his NYC neighbor Michael J. Fox of harassment and questions the legitimacy of his Parkinson shake, while Jeff (Jeff Garlin) surprisingly takes a bullet for Susie (the fabulous Susie Essman); and Larry finds himself schooled by his girlfriend (Anna Gasteyer) for giving an inappropriate birthday gift to her son.
