“The Wendy Williams Show” launches 17-city summer tour

By Jeff Pfeiffer

Revving up for the third season of her hit syndicated series The Wendy Williams Show, which returns Sept. 12, Wendy Williams is embarking on the Say It Like You Mean It Summer Tour. The nationwide tour — which takes its name from a line in the show’s theme song — starts Aug. 4 and will visit 17 cities across the country, where Wendy will meet fans and participate in local events. For example, in the Tampa stop, she will try her hand as a “drummer” in one of the long boats at the 10th Annual World Championship International Dragon Boat Races, and will also throw out the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays’ baseball game.

In many markets, Wendy will ride into town on a specially designed and decorated bus. Fans of the show will recognize some signature items traveling with Wendy, including her beloved Wonder Woman mug and Shakeetha the wig head.

“I’m ecstatic about the Say It Like You Mean It Summer Tour,” says Wendy. “There is no better way to make new friends than to visit them during the summer, and invite them to come and have some fun with us in their city.”

Here is the list of cities and when Wendy will be visiting, along with the partner station in each local market. For more information, visit wendyshow.com. Fans can follow the tour’s progression by following @WendyWilliams on Twitter and using the hashtags #SAYITLIKEYOUMEANIT and #WENDYWILLIAMS, and by visiting Wendy’s Facebook page (facebook.com/wendyshow).
