Don’t expect to see Arnold Schwarzenneger or Maria Shriver anytime soon on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network’s new series “Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal.” This hour-long confessional/consultation series is slated to air Mondays at 9pm ET/PT beginning June 6. The new series features couples who have suffered and survived infidelity in their marriages. Each episode profiles two couples who share their deeply personal stories of heartbreak, while a therapist provides inside perspective on how each couple began the healing process. OWN describes the series as “intensely revealing” as it illustrates how couples can come to terms with infidelity and share their stories of betrayal. Hmmm… “coming to terms” is probably out of the question in the case where your high-profile husband cheated with your longtime housekeeper, while you were pregnant, and then kept his lovechild a secret from you for 10 plus years. Who wants to go on a TV show to rehash that nightmare?
