TLC’s official statement about Jon Gosselin’s lawsuit to halt “Kate Plus 8”

From Laurie Goldberg, Senior Vice President, TLC Communications:

“We are aware of Jon Gosselin’s recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin’s repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents.”

  1. Kate is unlikeable and the show will fail. She will play the victim role and the kids will act bratty. Her personality is see through and controlling. It is a shame a family had to be publicly broken apart. Jon should do his best to get a court order to protect his kids from the same limelight that stole his wife.

  2. If only that it were apparent that what Jon is seeking is happiness rather than money and revenge. As the network statement says, he was perfectly fine with the cameras in his “marital home” until TLC treated him exactly as he is behaving — as a contract player playing dangerously with his contract. He has no legal leg on which to stand and I suspect he knows that.

  3. I agree with Jon Gosselin. I feel bad that he has been treated like he has. I hope he finds happiness with these decisions. I wish him and the children much happiness.
