Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya are among the new "DWTS" pairings

ABC has announced the celebrity and professional pairings for Season 9 of Dancing With the Stars, which premieres September 21.

* Singer Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff (returning for her seventh season)

* Olympic champion swimmer Natalie Coughlin with Alec Mazo (Season 1 champion, returning for his fifth season)

* Iron Chef star Mark Dacascos with Lacey Schwimmer (back for her third season)

* Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay with Cheryl Burke (returning for her eighth season)

* Singer Macy Gray with Jonathan Roberts (returning for his seventh season)

* Actor Ashley Hamilton with Edyta Sliwinska (the only pro to compete in all nine seasons)

* Actress Melissa Joan Hart with Mark Ballas (reigning two-time DWTS champ, back for his fifth season)

* Model Kathy Ireland with Tony Dovolani (back for his eighth season)

* NFL Hall-of-Famer Michael Irvin with Anna Demidova (making her debut; she won Season 8’s Professional Dancer competition)

* Model Joanna Krupa with Derek Hough (returning for his fifth season)

* UFC star Chuck Liddell with Anna Trebunskaya (returning for her fourth season)

* Actress Debi Mazar with Maksim Chmerkovskiy (back for his seventh season)

* Singer Mya with Dmitry Chaplin (back for second season)

* Reality star Kelly Osbourne with Louis Van Amstel (returning for his fifth season)

* Singer Donny Osmond with Kym Johnson (returning for her seventh season)

* Pro snowboarder Louie Vito with Chelsie Hightower (back for her second season)

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Michael Jackson’s album Bad, his 1987 follow-up to the 1982 mega-smash Thriller.
