NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Final Four Schedule

Awesome sports weekend ahead, with the Final Four on Saturday and Major League Baseball opening night on Sunday. Here’s the schedule of Final Four festivities beginning Saturday on CBS:

Saturday, April 4 on CBS

3:30-4pm ET — The Road to the Final Four: Outside the Games: Seth Davis hosts as CBS Sports examines the impact the current economic crisis is having on higher education, both in the classroom and on the playing field. The show also explores commercialism in college sports. The show features interviews with NCAA President Myles Brand, SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson and University Presidents, Chancellors and Athletics Directors from a variety of schools.

4-6pm ET — The Final Four Show: Greg Gumbel, Greg Anthony and Davis host, featuring tournament highlights, analysis of the four participants and interviews with coaches and players. Contributing to the program are Dick Enberg and Tracy Wolfson. Features include the 30th anniversary of the Indiana State/Michigan State 1979 NCAA Championship Game with interviews with Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Larry Bird reminiscing about their memories and the lasting impact of the game, plus stories on Tyler Hansbrough, A.J. Price, Scottie Reynolds, Willie Johnson and Michigan State’s home appearance in the Final Four.

6:07pm ET — Final Four: Michigan State vs. Connecticut

8:47pm ET — Final Four: Villanova vs. North Carolina

Monday, April 6 on CBS

9-9:19pm ET — Prelude to a Championship

9:21-11:30pm ET — NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, Ford Field, Detroit, MI – Jim Nantz/Clark Kellogg

  1. Clark Kellogg stated during the championship game that the 2005 Illini team was ranked second for a good part of the season. He might want to check his facts before he makes comments like this, as Illinois was ranked number 1 for 15 consecutive weeks.
