“ANTM” Here’s Your Test

And the drama continues…

At panel last week, Celia tattled on Tahlia. This week, we get to witness the fallout. The house is in an uproar, girls choosing sides and yelling. Oddly enough, Celia and Tahlia stand on the stairs and silently watch. They talk later, one on one. Celia doesn’t regret what she said, but insists that she never meant to embarrass Tahlia. She knows Tyra is upset with her and admits that she will probably be sent home.

Challenge: Facial Expressions

The girls must pose using only their faces. They have to stand behind huge cardboard Tyra prints, stick their heads through a hole where Tyra’s face once was and show the expression they think she makes. It’s kind of funny – I think I posed like that at the county fair last year, after I visited some hogs and ate a cream puff. Natalie and London perform well, but only a few of the girls are actually able to match the expressions. Most, in fact, have a really hard time with the challenge. But I can’t say I blame them. It would be hard to take that face cutout challenge very seriously without some corn on the cob or taffy.

Winner: Natalie

Photo Shoot: Color Close-Ups

Each girl’s face is powdered with a different color and they then need to embody that color using only facial expressions. Aminat channels Mother Earth for green. Teyona has the unfortunate color of yellow. Her photo shoot is a mess, but she still pulls off a good picture. London goes for a cold, ice princess look with blue.  Fo is fiery red, a great color choice with her dark hair. She works it, and the picture is completely fierce. Alison has trouble with the shoot, as magenta, but pulls off a great shot. However, the judges criticize her limited one-look posing.

Celia finds a way to embody grey, a color the judges say represents maturity. I think they were trying to be ironic. I’m a bit impressed by Celia’s poise while preparing for judging. She came to terms with certain elimination and decided to go out twirling. Plus, I have to agree with her point that if she’s going to be sent home, the remaining girls better want to be there more than she does. She and Sandra land in the bottom two. Ultimately, the strength of Celia’s photos and personal style keep her in the running.

Winner: Fo
High: Fo and Teyona
Bottom Two: Sandra and Celia
Loser: Sandra
