10 Items Or Less: Star Trok

Posted by Ryan

Leslie wants to drum up business from geeks by having a Star Trek convention in the Greens & Grains, but he can’t get permission from Paramount Pictures. Proving that you can rip anything off as long as you change it slightly, Leslie settles for a Star Trok convention, and invites Trek cast members to attend. While in the middle of a reenactment, there’s a big explosion. The compressor for the meat freezer blew out. So while Leslie is dealing with the situation, Jolene Blalock shows up. But before she can bail out on Leslie’s faux-Trek convention, another explosion causes the door of the meat freezer to lock with Leslie, Jolene and Ingrid trapped inside it. Leslie realizes that all of the compressors for all the G&G’s refrigeration systems were linked together, and they have to shut of the gas and the power before the compressors all catastrophically fail. Leslie, Jolene and Ingrid escape the freezer through a vent, and get to the gas shut-off valve located in what used to be a missile silo (!) above the G&G. And Carl, Roger and Buck have to get to the emergency power shut-off located inconveniently on the high ceiling of the break room. Leslie and Carl turn off the gas and power systems simultaneously, and disaster is averted. Until Leslie falls 70 feet to the G&G floor. Meanwhile, outside the G&G, angry nerds are disappointed that this isn’t a fully sanctioned Trek convention, and they’re about to riot. But they’re pacified when they see Jolene, and Leslie’s Trok convention turns out to be a success. “Live on, properly.”

This Week’s Special: Jolene Blalock, looking incredibly hot.

Employee of the Week: Carl. He helped Leslie avoid disaster. And he wants to be called “The Tool.”

Disturbing Details About Leslie: He keeps his fingernails long for his flamenco guitar lessons. And the Greens & Grains used to house a missile silo, though he doesn’t have any warheads “officially.”

Product Placements: None, unless Paramount Pictures counts.
