1. What has been your strangest fan encounter?
Paige Davis: I once got what I would consider trapped in a supermarket. … It was very late at night so there were just a couple of cashier people and there weren’t too many customers. And they got very excited that Paige Davis from Trading Spaces was in the supermarket. This woman grabbed hold of my wrist and she would not let go. I would have needed a tool from our truck to pry her fingers away from my wrist. She sat me down in a chair and people started calling their family and their friends and I was there for three hours [signing autographs]. … I was totally moved and completely overwhelmed that they loved the show so much, but I was also a little perturbed because I felt like I had been kidnapped. So it was pretty weird.
2. You’re at a magazine rack and can pick three magazines. What are they?
O, Lucky and In Style.
3. What’s your favorite sports team?
I don’t have one. I barely even know the difference between a field goal and a touchdown.
4. When was the last time you were starstruck?
When I met Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.
5. If your TV only carried three shows, which three would you want?
So You Think You Can Dance, Ugly Betty and Entourage.
6. When is the last time you felt like crying?
Last night. I went to see a dear friend of mine in concert here in Las Vegas. It was a holiday concert and it was really, really, really good and I really, really, really missed my husband and I wished he was there to see it with me and I started to cry because I missed him so much.
7. What’s your favorite condiment?
Mayonnaise.
8. The real estate firm HomeVestors had an online contest in which people nominated and later voted for the ugliest house of 2007. Do you know where it is?
I don’t know. But there are ugly homes everywhere; I can state that for a fact.
So, we stumped her. The “winning” house — described as “totally repulsive” and “a menace to the community” — is located in Sarasota, Fla. Runners-up are in Fort Worth, Texas, and Phoenix.
