Patton Oswalt to Guest-Voice on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Mid-Season Premiere

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Mid-Season Premiere Discovery Family

Discovery Family Channel has announced that comedian Patton Oswalt will voice a new character in the mid-season premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In the Comic-Con-themed episode titled “Stranger Than Fan Fiction,” Rainbow Dash attends the Daring Do Convention in Manehattan and meets a pony named Quibble Pants (voiced by Oswalt) who despises Daring Do as much as she loves it. The two of them get wrapped up in a real life Daring Do adventure and must settle their differences if they have any chance of surviving the convention.

Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt has lent his voice to multiple animated projects including Kim Possible, We Bare Bears, Axe Cop, the upcoming film The Boss Baby (based on the book), and most notably — Remi the rat in Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille.

And if you’re a fan of the series and heading to San Diego Comic-Con. the cast and creatives behind the series will present a panel on Friday, July 22 where they will give a sneak peek into the rest of season 6 and the new My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree movie coming this fall. After the panel, I should be able to post a first-look clip from the July 30 episode, but for now, we’ll have to make (Daring) do with this adorable image.

UPDATED: Our friends at Discovery Family Channel shared the MLP clip premiered at ComicCon! Check out the Daring Do ‘dorableness!

Based on the disparity between the episode description provided by DFC and the above clip, Quibble Pants’ love for Daring Do is an act. Trust me on this, I heard it from the main mare.

  1. These are good shows and learning experiences for kids (and old farts). I round up some Grandkids so I can watch without too much finger pointing and accusations of senility.
