Belmont Stakes 2014 TV coverage: California Chrome chases history

Belmont Stakes 2014 TV coverage on NBC Sports follows California Chrome’s chase for horse racing’s elusive Triple Crown on Saturday, June 7.

All eyes will be on Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y., for the 146th Belmont Stakes as Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome chases the elusive Triple Crown. NBC has live coverage of the race on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 4:30pm ET. With the Triple Crown bid increasing interest in the Belmont, NBC Sports Group upped its programming surrounding the event to 16 hours. The Belmont Stakes will also air live online and on mobile devices through NBC Sports Live Extra.

Bob Costas hosts the coverage for NBC Sports with commentator Tom Hammond and analysts Randy Moss, Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey, Mike Battaglia and Bob Neumeier. Larry Collmus calls the race. Laffit Pincay III hosts NBCSN’s coverage with contributions from reporters Kenny Rice, Donna Brothers, Jay Privman, Josh Elliott and Carolyn Manno.

  1. I have been a long time fan of Bob Costas, but no more. If he doesn’t, at the very least, understand a sport, or respect it, he shouldn’t be covering it.
