Back in August, I returned from the TV critics press tour with an interesting new toy. It was a plush little husky pup named Jingle that had a red tag attached to it urging you to: “Press my button to hear how I work.”
Jingle sat on my desk for months and was greeted with much adoration and intrigue (OK, annoyance for some) as my colleagues and visitors pressed his little red button and were told: “Jingle’s ready for you to read his story to him.” Jingle is a Hallmark creation and is accompanied by an interactive storybook. When you read certain lines in the book he responds appropriately with excited barks, sad whimpers and even an occasional hum to a classic holiday tune. (Oh yes, the Channel Guide staff did have some fun trying to trip this Jingle toy up, too.)
Jingle’s also the star of Hallmark Channel’s original holiday special Jingle All the Way premiering on Hallmark Channel Nov. 25 at 7pm ET/PT (it also repeats again at 8pm ET). The special has a familiar look and feel similar to all those wonderful stop-motion animated holiday specials from Rankin/Bass like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. In Jingle All the Way viewers are introduced to a young boy named Andrew who happens upon a box filled with husky puppies for sale while shopping for the family Christmas tree. Andrew immediately bonds with a pup and calls him Jingle, but despite his attempts at begging his parents to allow him to keep him, he leaves the farm without the pup. Jingle, however, is determined to find a home and runs after the family’s car and thus begins the heartwarming story about a puppy determined to find a family. Young or old, you’ll want to add this adorable special to your holiday viewing list.
You can get these at Hallmark stores

I add a packet of TickleMe Plant seeds to all my hallmark cards. Everyone seems to love to grow the house plant that moves and closes its leaves when Tickled!
