America’s favorite Internet sourpuss stars in her first holiday film. Voiced by Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Grumpy Cat is a lonely feline living in a mall pet shop. When a very special 12-year-old girl realizes that she can hear this unique cat talk, they form a close bond, work together to thwart a dognapping, and Grumpy learns the true meaning of Christmas.
This one-hour documentary special celebrates Verne Lundquist’s 50 years in broadcasting. Since joining CBS Sports in 1982, Lundquist has called some of the most memorable moments in sports, including Jack Nicklaus’ famous birdie putt at the 1986 Masters, Christian Laettner’s buzzer-beater in the 1992 NCAA Tournament and Auburn’s stunning defeat of Alabama in last year’s college football Iron Bowl.
Primary-school teacher Paul Maddens (Martin Freeman) is charged with producing the school’s Nativity play. The stakes are raised when Paul boasts that his ex-girlfriend Jennifer (Ashley Jensen), a Hollywood producer, is coming to see his show and turn it into a film. With an intense rivalry with a posh private school, excited children and parents lured by dreams of stardom for their kids, Paul’s life turns chaotic and his only hope is to lure Jennifer to town so that everybody’s Christmas wishes come true.
