Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 10 – This is the End?

After last week’s episode of Fargo, I had to wonder how many bodies were left to massacre. The finale didn’t pack a bloody punch, but there was a lot left to ponder. Ready for the Fargo finale? Okay then, let’s get to it! • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 | Episode 5 | Episode 6 | Episode 7 | Episode 8 | Episode 9   “Palindrome” opens up on a lot of dead bodies, specifically those belonging to the Gerhardt family. We see Rye (Kieran Culkin), Otto (Michael Hogan), Dodd […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 9 – Motel Hell

Last week on Fargo, we had one of the best installments of the whole darn season. So many characters were missing, but the entire episode was just awesome. The more I think about all of those exchanges between Peggy (Kirsten Dunst) and Dodd (Jeffrey Donovan), the more I realize last week had some of my favorite moments of this season — and the entire series in general. • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 | Episode 5 | Episode 6 | Episode 7 | Episode 8 This one was certainly a doozy […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 8 – Cabin Fever

After last week’s killing spree, Fargo is stepping back a bit. Remember all of the unanswered questions from episode 6? This week’s installment tackles some of those — and leaves a few new ones lingering as well. • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 | Episode 5 | Episode 6 | Episode 7 That said, “Loplop” opened exactly where I wanted it to — back in the Blumquists’ basement. I wasn’t looking to see if Peggy (Kirsten Dunst) had stashed the June 1975 issue of Glamour within those monstrous piles, but […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 7 – Poking the Bear

At the end of last week’s episode of Fargo, we were left with so many outstanding questions. Was Dodd (Jeffrey Donovan) dead? Was Floyd (Jean Smart) dead? Someone must have been dead! If you think a lot went down in that episode, sit down and get ready for an action-packed follow-up. • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 | Episode 5 | Episode 6 The writers managed to redeem last week’s low body count in the first few minutes of “Did you do this? No, you did it!” It actually reminded […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 6 – A Shocking Development

At the end of last week’s episode of Fargo, we knew what was coming. Even Ed (Jesse Plemons) and Peggy (Kirsten Dunst) knew what was coming. It was the police, looking for Ed after a guy rose up from the ashes of Bud’s Butcher Shop with a meat cleaver buried in his head. • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 | Episode 5 So really, it’s no surprise that “Rhinoceros” kicks off with Ed getting arrested. Peggy doesn’t seem too happy about it, which makes sense. All of this is 100-percent […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 5 – Leave it to Cleaver

In this week’s episode of Fargo, the war between the Kansas City mafia and the Gerhardts kicked off with a bang. Well, it kicked off with a whole lot of bangs and at least one meat cleaver. I’d say it was definitely worth the wait. Okay then. Let’s get to the recap! • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 | Episode 4 After weeks of fictional Ronald Reagan movies, the fictional version of the 40th President of the United States was in the house – or at least on-screen (and played by Bruce Campbell). […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 4 – It’s On

A storm is brewing, Fargo fans. OK, so it’s been brewing from the very first scene of the very first episode. However, “Fear and Trembling” seems to be sounding all of the alarms. It’s coming, so you’d better prepare yourself. I know I’m ready! • FARGO Season 2 recaps: Episode 1 | Epsiode 2 | Episode 3 This week’s episode kicks off in 1950s Fargo, North Dakota, with a young Otto Gerhardt (Michael Hogan) taking an even younger Dodd to see the fictional film Moonbase Freedom, starring Ronald Reagan. Well, sort of. The boy seems like he’s there to see […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 3 – Tie-ing Up Loose Ends

Last week on Fargo, we got a better peek at the Kansas City mafia, Hank ruffled the Kitchen Brothers, Peggy showed her “bad girl” side and Ed made mincemeat out of Rye — literally. This week, the body count is stacking up and things are getting sort of tense. Well, Dodd (Jeffrey Donovan, Burn Notice) is getting tense. I don’t think he has the capability to not be tense. But I digress. Ready to jump right into Season 2’s third episode? Okay then! The episode starts with a shot of Hanzee (Zahn McClarnon, Longmire) in the middle of the snowy […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 2 – Blood on our hands

After last week’s episode of Fargo, I’m looking forward to an uber-violent season, you betcha! This week was equally disturbing, so if you were watching between the slits of your fingers, let’s recap what happened. Again, this episode, “Before The Law,” reminds us that this is “a true story,” but names have been changed “at the request of the survivors.” This information is being typed over the screen as we get a glimpse of this season’s all-star cast … as well as a dead pig. Yikes. In the opening, we see Joe Bulo (Brad Garrett, Everybody Loves Raymond) and his […]

Recap: Fargo Season 2, Episode 1 – Back in Time

After a nail-biting, must-see debut season, Fargo is back on FX. Unlike True Detective, Fargo fans shouldn’t fret about this new installment. Season 2 is looking to be equally as addictive, don’t cha know. The first episode, “Waiting for Dutch,” opens with a snippet of the black-and-white film Massacre at Sioux Falls, starring Ronald Reagan (who should be showing up at some point looking a lot like Bruce Campbell). He’s not in the clip, though. Instead, it’s a conversation between an actor and maybe the director. It doesn’t really matter who they are because the landscape is way more interesting. […]
