Scandal spring premiere recap: “Ride, Sally, Ride”

Scandal spring premiere recap: “Ride, Sally, Ride” Coming off the surprising ending to the first part of this season — where we only learned that Daniel Douglas (Jack Coleman) was murdered by Sally Langston (Kate Burton) with the cover-up help from Cyrus Beane (Jeff Perry); Eli Pope (Joe Morton) was replaced from his long time operation, B613 pretty boy Jake Ballard (Scott Foley); and Maya Lewis (Khandi Alexander) was free even though she lied about the bomb on the original flight with over 300 passengers, shot down by President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) — with the spring season’s storylines set up, […]

Matchup of the Year? Duke vs. Syracuse Saturday on ESPN

Matchup of the Year?: Duke vs. Syracuse in battle for ACC and national bragging rights in rematch at Cameron Indoor Stadium Saturday, Feb. 22, on ESPN.   #1 Syracuse @ #5 Duke Saturday, Feb. 22,  7pm ET on ESPN Originally I was going to focus on Syracuse’s 26-0 start to the season and how they keep finding ways to pull out close games with clutch performances like the Tyler Ennis 30 footer at Pittsburgh beating the buzzer or the late steal and score to edge out a victory over North Carolina State. Then they lost at home to Boston College. […]

Look for Oklahoma State to use a smaller lineup and switch the high ball screens to defend against the dribble drives by Kane. If Oklahoma State can find a way […]

Scandal recap – “A Door Marked Exit”

Scandal Recap – “A Door Marked Exit” Intensity-wise, the episode took a step back compared to last week’s episode. However, “A Door Marked Exit” found a way to tie up loose ends while setting the stage for some of next season’s plot lines. It began where the last episode left off, with Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) still in shock over the murder of her husband, Daniel Douglas (Jack Coleman). Her thoughts drifted between the fight and the aftermath as she tried to conceptualize what had happened. She called Cyrus Beane (Jeff Perry), who hired Quinn Perkins (Lindsay Dwyer) […]

Scandal recap: “YOLO”

Scandal recap: “YOLO” I entered my viewing experience at 6 this morning (I was busy during the episode) believing that an episode titled “YOLO” wouldn’t exactly be a moniker for television excellence and that I would promptly fall back asleep during the episode. Then again, this is Scandal we’re talking about. In true Scandal fashion, it had me off the futon, definitely awake, and excited to start my day like the sun mascot from the Jimmy Deans commercials. My excitement began with the opening scene, featuring a kill-thirsty Huck (Guillermo Diaz) standing over a similarly situated prey like during his […]
