‘Nobodies’: TV Land Introduces These Other Guys

TV Land Nobodies TV Land

The pilot episode of TV Land’s new comedy Nobodies (Wednesdays beginning March 29 at 10pm ET/PT) features Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Jim Rash, Nat Faxon and these three other people.

Groundlings comedy troupe alumni Hugh Davidson, Rachel Ramras and Larry Dorf based Nobodies on their real-life exploits trying to exploit their famous friends’ Hollywood clout.

Getting their friends to appear on Nobodies proved much easier than getting their friends to look at their movie script. “There’s so much talent in that pilot and throughout our series, and those are our friends,” Ramras says. “Sometimes it is just as easy as texting Michaela Watkins and saying, ‘Would you do us a huge, huge, huge favor?’ And then before you can even get it all out, she’s like, ‘When? Where? I’m there.’ It’s such a family, the Groundlings.”

Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone executive produce the series, which has already been picked up for a second season. McCarthy and Falcone also make guest appearances. “We play horrible versions of ourselves,” McCarthy says. “I’d just like to point that out that it’s not really true to life.
