It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving Day without a big helping of the NFL. This year, the matchups actually look kind of compelling as the two teams that traditionally play host on Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys, are both competitive. Action kicks off Thursday on CBS at 12:30pm ET with the Minnesota Vikings (6-4) at the Lions (6-4) in a game for the top spot in the NFC North standings. After that game, the Washington Redskins (6-3-1) are at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to take on the Cowboys (9-1) in an NFC East clash on FOX at 4:30pm ET. Then in the primetime game on NBC beginning at 8:30pm ET, the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) are at the Indianapolis Colts (5-5) in an AFC matchup. Even with their .500 records, the Steelers are tied for first in the AFC North, and the Colts are one game behind the AFC South leading Houston Texans. The NFL is not very good this year.
