Holy cow! The Chicago Cubs are in the World Series! Think about that: The Cubs are in the World Series! Is the suffering finally over for the long-suffering faithful fans? Are the Cubs lovable losers no more? The Cubs haven’t won a World Series since Oct. 14, 1908, in a five-game win over the Detroit Tigers. The Cubs haven’t appeared in the Fall Classic since 1945. Now, the 112th World Series between the American League champion Cleveland Indians and the National League champion Cubs begins with Game 1 on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Cleveland’s Progressive Field. Cleveland has home-field advantage in the series due to the AL’s 4-2 win in the All-Star Game, meaning the Cubs host Games 3 and 4, and a potential Game 5, Oct. 28-30 at Wrigley Field.
FOX has exclusive coverage of the World Series, with play-by-play announcer Joe Buck joined by analyst John Smoltz and reporter Ken Rosenthal. Games will also stream on FOX Sports GO. 2016 World Series TV schedule below:
