This weekend, Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera gets firsthand information about the strange meeting between the world’s most wanted man, and one of the world’s most beautiful women.

The hour-long special, Fox News Reporting: Beauty & the Beast: When Kate Met Chapo, delves into the strange fascination of the head of the Sinaloa drug cartel, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo. The beauty starred as a ruthless but charming drug dealer in the Mexican soap opera La Reina del Sur (Queen of the South), and clearly it caught the attention of the real-life drug dealer. “I will take care of you more than I do my own eyes,” The piquant outlaw gushed in a series of flirty texts he sent to his “pen pal.” De Castillo encouraged and fostered the friendship hoping to procure a good story, and was allowed unbelievable access to him during el Chapo’s time on the run after a daring escape from a Mexican prison.

Rivera interviews the actress about the bizarre friendship and how it blossomed from a single tweet she sent in 2012 imploring Guzman to “traffic with love,” to him asking her to make a movie about his life, to their eventual meeting. American actor Sean Penn also joined the clandestine meeting and wrote about it for Rolling Stone magazine. And in her interview with Rivera, del Castillo refutes some of the claims Penn made in the article.

She also reveals details of the frightening night when El Chapo escorted her to her bedroom after a night of drinking; and admits that she feared for her own safety.
