Get to know Wyatt Nash. The charming Nashville-born actor stars in the Hallmark Channel original film, Karen Kingsbury’s The Bridge, based on the best-selling author’s book of the same name. Nash shared behind the scenes info about making the two-part film here, but we were dying to find more about the talented actor.

In addition to starring in The Bridge with Katie Findlay, Faith Ford and Ted McGinley, he also starred as Christopher Dollanganger, Jr. in the Flowers in the Attic sequel, Petals on the Wind.  If you go way back in his career, you’ll even see him as a contestant on Season 22 of Survivor (as Matt Elrod). Personally, I prefer sexy and suave Wyatt to surf-hottie Matt, but either way he’s still a sweet bookworm, as made obvious when he answered our “5 Questions.”

1. If your TV only had three shows or networks on it, what would you be watching?

Oh, man. I’m going to have to leave ESPN on there, just because I love sports and it’s so much fun to watch. Let me think. I really like a lot of stuff that AMC has been doing, and FX. I like The Walking Dead a whole lot. FX is just, you know, very dramatic and very gritty, and I enjoy that a lot.

2. What are three foods you have to have in you fridge or pantry at all times?
Peanut butter, number one. Oh, man, this is giving away too much. Oreos, was what came to mind second. Obviously, yeah, ice cream. Man, that’s bad. I wish I had something healthy to say, but those are the three I got.

3.Tell us about a time when you were completely starstruck.
This is kind of funny. Do you know who tunameltsmyheart is on Instagram? He is a dog who has 1.6 million followers and he’s just this little Chiweenie and he’s really funny.

I met him at a barbecue out here in LA, and I wasn’t sure if I could pet him, or if I could pick him up. I was kind starstruck by tunameltsmyheart. That’s the first thing that came to my mind, but it’s kind of bizarre. You need to look him up; he’s pretty cute.

4. Since The Bridge is based on a book and you starred in the movie adaption of the book, Petals on the Wind, what’s a book that you are recommending to other people?
Oh, wow. I read a lot. Let me think. The last book I actually recommended was a science fiction trilogy, by C.S. Lewis, called the Space Trilogy. That is one of my all-time favorites that I really enjoy. Another author that has another series that I really like is Patrick Rothfuss. His series is called the Kingkiller Chronicles.

Pierce Brown is another … These are all kind of like sci-fi things, I guess, that’s the genre I like. Pierce Brown wrote The Red Rising Trilogy, and I’m really anticipating the last one coming out, in February, or January. I’m always picking up new stuff, but I really enjoy the science fiction.

5.What’s a movie that you can watch over and over again?

Oh, man. It’s an animated movie that has Zooey Deschanel and Shia LaBeouf, called Surf’s Up. It’s like the surfing penguin movie, but it’s a cartoon. I know that’s really bizarre, but I just … sometimes I’m like, “I just want to watch cartoons,” it’s just a fun little film.

  1. I liked the movie so much. I watched part 1 three times each time
hoping part two would show. I hope I don’t forget next year.

  2. I am very disappointed to read that Part 2 of the Bridge will not be shown for a whole year. I cannot believe that Hallmark and Karen Kingsbury would go along with that.
