2015 Golden Globe nominations

The 2015 Golden Globe nominations for the 72nd installment of the ceremony were announced this morning by Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Paula Patton and Jeremy Piven. Greer Grammer, daughter of Kelsey Grammer, was on hand as Miss Golden Globe 2015, following a tradition where a daughter or son of one of Hollywood’s most respected actors is selected to assist at the Golden Globes. The awards are bestowed annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Among television networks, HBO leads the way with 15 nominations (including for True Detective, pictured), followed by Showtime with nine. CBS has the most nominations for a broadcast network, with four. Netflix has seven nominations, Amazon Instant Video has two.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will host the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony for the third (and, they say, last) time when NBC broadcasts the event live Jan. 11 at 8pm ET.
