New Season of Transformers Rescue Bots Premieres Nov. 1

I was a huge fan of Transformers when I was a kid. I remember my best birthday was when I turned 7 and I received the Transformers Buzzsaw, Grapple and Inferno. I was pretty sure that my friends were the best friends in the universe. The theme song to the 1980’s cartoon is still among my favorites and I will forever make that Kee-kah-koh-kuh sound whenever I am folding/ bending/ or changing the shape of anything (and this happens quite frequently at Casa de Freeze). I also sometimes to it just to annoy my kids.

Transformers Rescue BotsNow, a new generation of toy-loving boys and girls has found the Transformers franchise thanks to the smash films by director Michael Bay and the cartoon series Transformers Rescue Bots. On Saturday, Season 3 of premieres on the newly re-branded Discover Family Channel (formerly Hub Network).

The newest season kicks off with back-to-back original episodes and continues the adventures of Optimus Prime and the Rescue Bots as they keep peace and safety on the island of Griffin Rock. And new this season, the Robots meet up with mysterious dinosaurs (and spoiler alert: the Transformers transform into dinosaurs.) Robots + Dinosaurs = mind blown.

In the season premiere, “Land Before Prime,” airing Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1pmET/ 10amPT, Optimus is forced to embrace his primal side when the Rescue Bots discover an island of dinosaurs.

A second original episode “Big Game” premieres immediately following at 1:30pm ET/ 10:30pm PT in the show’s regular time period. A notorious Big Game Hunter has set his sights on Optimus Prime’s new Dinosaur Mode.

The season will also showcase how TV’s transforming protective heroes have to be ready for anything, from scientific tech gone awry to unsolved mysteries on their island home; and some adventures are so big that they even take a Dino-Bot (or two) to save the day.

Here’s a first look at the Autobots transforming into dinosaurs and a first look at this season of Transformers Rescue Bots.
