Bryce Dion worked for seven years as audio technician on Cops, and had recently been promoted to Audio Supervisor. A release says that the one-hour special dedicated to him, airing Sept. 20, will feature clips of some of his best work, as well as his courage and commitment in showing the challenges faced by law enforcement.

“Bryce had a passion for life and his work, and was always the first one to help anyone in need. He will best be remembered for a smile that never faded. All of us who knew him or worked with him on Cops, as well as the many friends he made working on documentaries and other shows, mourn his passing,” said Morgan and John Langley, executive producers of Cops, in the release.

The one-hour special Bryce Dion tribute episode of Cops airs Sept. 20 at 8pm ET/PT on Spike TV.
