US Open golf 2014 TV coverage on ESPN and NBC includes all four rounds June 12-15 from Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina.

The U.S. Open comes to Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina June 12-15 for the second major tournament of the year. Top contenders include Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar and Jason Day (Tiger Woods has withdrawn while he recovers from back surgery). England’s Justin Rose won his first career major at last year’s U.S. Open and handed Phil Mickelson his sixth second-place finish in the tournament.

ESPN has live coverage of Thursday and Friday rounds beginning at 9am ET both days, with edited encore presentations and highlights shows airing on ESPN and ESPN2. Chris Berman hosts with NBC’s Roger Maltbie for part of live Thursday and Friday rounds, with Scott Van Pelt and analyst Paul Azinger hosting the remainder of the live coverage. Also reporting and contributing for ESPN are Curtis Strange, Andy North, Judy Rankin, Dottie Pepper, Sean McDonough, Bill Kratzert, Gary Koch, Peter Jacobsen and Tom Rinaldi.

For its part, the NBC Sports Group has more than 75 live hours from Pinehurst combined on NBC and Golf Channel. NBC has 19 live hours of tournament coverage Thursday through Sunday, with Golf Channel adding 57 live hours of news, analysis, highlights, features and more with signature programs like Morning Drive and Live From the U.S. Open. Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller anchor NBC’s coverage, with reporting and contributions from Peter Jacobsen, Gary Koch, Notah Begay, Roger Maltbie, Mark Rolfing, Steve Sands and Jimmy Roberts.

Both ESPN and NBC/Golf Channel will include features and vignettes on the 15th anniversary of Payne Stewart’s victory at Pinehurst and the tragic plane accident that took his life months later.

  1. Just watched Payne Stewart tribute on NBC … I am one of a few thousand to see him win the Miller High Life QCO and then the next year watch the Shark, Bob Tway, and Payne play a round in the QCA with all three decked out in knickers .. I will never forget the experience.
