Andi Dorfman lands The Bachelorette Season 10

Case closed. After the disappointment that was her time with The Bachelor‘s fickle Juan Pablo Galavis, Atlanta assistant district attorney Andi Dorfman will be doling out the rose boutonnieres on the tenth cycle of ABC’s The Bachelorette. The news was confirmed on last night’s The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special.

“I have a great life —  I just don’t have anyone to spend it with,” Dorfman told the show’s host Chris Harrison, adding that even after her self-imposed departure from The Bachelor following a disastrous  fantasy suite date with Galavis (see the fallout below), she still believes in the franchise’s power to deliver a happy ending. “I’ve never felt better in my life about this and I’m just excited,” she said.

The Bachelor fans will recall that Dorfman’s happily married parents and newlywed sister are her role models when it comes to finding true love.

And her prospective suitors better be prepared to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about who they are and what their intentions might be. Though she’s an avid shopper and former sorority girl, the 26-year-old Dorfman is an assistant D.A. for Fulton County, Georgia and serves as a gang prosecutor. She’s also an avid hunter and fisherman.

So what do you think, The Bachelorette fans? Are you excited to see Andi get a shot at true happiness? Do you think the Bachelorettes are better at finding lasting love on the show? Do you think she dodged a bullet by ditching Juan Pablo? Sound off in the comments section below.

The new season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 19, at 9/8CT on ABC, then moves to its regularly scheduled time, Mondays at 8/7CT ET on May 26.
