NGC to air Carl Sagan’s original “Cosmos” series

In advance of the premiere of the new series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (which will debut March 9 at 9pm ET/PT, in a global simulcast on FOX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo MUNDO, FX, FXX, FXM, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2 and FOX Life), NGC says it will rebroadcast all 13 episodes of the original series that inspired it: Carl Sagan’s Cosmos: A Personal Voyage.

Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey

NGC’s airing of the original Cosmos will take place in a two-day event, March 8 from 12-6pm ET, and March 9 from 12-7pm ET. The classic series first premiered in September 1980 on PBS, and was written for television by Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan and Steven Soter, based on Sagan’s book.
