World Cup qualifier: USA vs Honduras on ESPN and UniMás

After gaining its second-highest audience ever for a FIFA World Cup qualifying or international friendly match telecast with its coverage of the June 11 USA vs Panama World Cup qualifier, ESPN will again have coverage of the U.S. Men’s National Team in action, as the USA vs Honduras World Cup qualifier airs June 18 on ESPN. The match will also be available on WatchESPN.

UniMas will have Spanish-language coverage of the June 18 match.

The USMNT sits atop the standings in the Hexagonal round of the qualifying series for the CONCACAF, with 10 points. The USMNT most recently defeated Panama, 2-0, on June 11, to complete three straight victories. The U.S. has played three of its first five matches on the road, and has posted three wins and three shutouts. USA enters this match sporting a 24-match unbeaten run (22-0-2) in qualifying at home. Their last loss on home soil came Sept. 1, 2001 — a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Honduras.

Honduras is currently in fourth place in the Hexagonal, with 7 points, having most recently defeated Jamaica 2-0 on June 11.

In the last USA vs Honduras World Cup qualifying match, played in February at San Pedro Sula, Honduras defeated the United States 2-1.
