CMT Awards 2013 date, time, channel and more

The 2013 CMT Music Awards will air live Wednesday, June 5 at 8pm ET on CMT and online at cmt.com. The awards will be also broadcast to servicemen and -women around the world on the Armed Forces Network.

Hosted by Jason Aldean and actress Kristen Bell, country music’s first fan-voted awards show will broadcast from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and feature performances by Aldean and Lenny Kravitz, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line with Nelly, George Strait, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift. The Mavericks will serve as the evening’s “house band.”

Presenters for the evening include Nashville star Charles Esten, CMT’s  Duane “Dog” and Beth Chapman, CMT One Country spokespersons Florida Georgia Line, country superstar Keith Urban, new Dancing With the Stars champ Kellie Pickler, Michael and Kevin Bacon of The Bacon Brothers, Larry the Cable Guy, Lisa Marie Presley and Scotty McCreery.

The live 2013 CMT Music Awards Red Carpet special, hosted by CMT’s Cody Alan, Katie Cook and Allison DeMarcus, will begin at 7pm ET and feature exclusive interviews, candid moments and a close-up look at what the stars are wearing.

The six finalists for video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the live show. Fans can then vote at CMT.com, CMT Mobile, on the CMT Insider app and via text message throughout the live telecast (Eastern and Central time zones only) to determine which act takes home the coveted award.

The 2013 CMT Music Awards will air live beginning with the red carpet special at 7pm ET/PT on CMT.
