French Open TV schedule 2013

French Open TV schedule 2013 includes live and taped coverage from Roland Garros in Paris on NBC, ESPN2 and Tennis Channel May 26-June 9.

The second Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year returns to the red clay courts of Roland Garros in Paris for the French Open May 26-June 9. Spain’s Rafael Nadal goes for his eighth title (he has won seven of the past eight French Opens), but will face competition from Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer and longtime foe Roger Federer (Andy Murray withdrew with an ailing back). On the women’s side, Maria Sharapova completed the career Grand Slam with her first French Open win last year. Top challengers include Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Li Na, Petra Kvitova and Agnieszka Radawanska. ESPN2, Tennis Channel and NBC share coverage of the tournament. NBC enters the first year of a new TV rights agreement that keeps the French Open on the network through 2024. NBC airs 27 hours of the French Open, including coverage on the first Monday (May 27) for the first time.

  1. Why wasn’t Marie’s first round not televised on any stations carrying French Open; Serena was dominant on the coverage!

  2. I think its pretty crappy that ESPN is not televising the latter in the day matches and that the Tennis channel is. There are a lot of us who can not get the Tennis channel.
