Kate Upton Mercedes Super Bowl Commercial Leaked

Fans of scantily clad supermodels and high-end German cars are going to love the new Kate Upton Mercedes ad, which is slated to make its TV debut during Sunday’s Super Bowl but was conveniently leaked online last week.

In the 90-second online spot, the 20-year-old model — best known for gracing the cover of last year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition — shows up at what appears to be a fundraising car wash for a high school football team.

Donning skimpy shorts and a cleavage-busting top, she blows soap suds, plays with her hair and flirts while the players wash what we assume is her car. Text on the screen says “Kate Upton Washes the New Mercedes CLA in Slow Motion.” She then tells one of the players, “You missed a spot.”

Using models in Super Bowl ads is nothing new. With millions of men watching the world’s biggest annual sporting event and advertisements going for more than $3 million a spot, companies have a split second to get viewers’ attention. Here are a few other commercials over the years that have resorted to sex appeal:

Noxema called in Farrah Fawcett to team up with football star Joe Namath in 1975:

Cindy Crawford converted Coke drinkers everywhere with this memorable 1992 Pepsi commercial:

Ali Landry became a household name in 1998 with this Doritos ad:

In addition to Upton, there are many other celebrities lending their name/looks for products this Sunday, including Bar Refaeli, Usher, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Amy Poehler and Kaley Cuoco. Advertising Age has a running list of advertisers that can be found here for those who want to tune in for a specific ad.

In the meantime, there are high school football players all around the country hoping that Kate Upton one day stops by their charity car wash.
